new head coach

“Passing the ball”

John Elton, our beloved varsity boys basketball coach officially retired from coaching at PCS after coaching at various levels within our boys basketball program for the past seventeen years. We will cherish the memories of John’s dedicated service to the school. While these memories include a lot of victories and even an exciting run for a state championship, they also include so many incredible memories of his passion and dedication to the boys. John embodied the school’s mission, and he used the sport of basketball and the relationships he forged with students to teach them to think biblically, serve effectively, and lead Christ-centered lives.  When you run into John around town or at PCS events please join us in thanking him for his years of service!

With John’s announced retirement, we knew we needed a succession plan that would replace John with someone who could continue to develop and grow our boys basketball program like John has done for so many years.

A New Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach is Found!

We are thrilled to announce that Justin McCuen will step into the role of Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach and Director of Basketball Program Development beginning this summer. Justin has been an assistant coach at South Brunswick High School (SBHS) in New Jersey for nineteen years. He helped build a program there that produced two Central Jersey Group 4 State Championship teams and had the privilege of coaching many students who became collegiate and professional athletes. On a personal level, Coach McCuen earned a spot in Arcadia University’s basketball program history as a three-year starter and “Top 5” in two categories: 3-point shooting percentage and 3-point field goals made. He also currently serves as the basketball coach for the Hatboro-Horsham travel team. He, his wife Stephanie, and their three children live in Horsham, PA, and attend Chelton—A Church of Hope.
